For Christmas, I gave my parents and Eric’s parents a photo book of some of our favorite memories this past year. I started giving these a couple years ago. My mom says that is all she needs for a gift. She loves it!
I hate to say this… but this was the ONLY picture I could find of the five of us all together in 2012. How SAD is that? Obviously, I am determined to do better this year.
In years past, I have used Shutterfly books. This year I decided to give MyPublisher a try. LOVE LOVE them! The quality is wonderful.
I love the clean and crisp look.
I am planning to do a similar design for my annual family albums. However, I do have to admit that I sometimes felt the desire to journal a little, but didn’t want to break up the overall design. Still trying to decide how I want to incorporate text in my annual album.
This album had spectacular color! I especially loved that you could get UV coated pages. Those just make your photos and colors pop off the page even more. This was one of my favorite spreads in the book.
These books just make me smile. I was so sad when they were delivered and I didn’t have one for me. :( I waited until the last minute to wrap them just so I could look at them over and over again.
I used many of the same spreads in both of their books, which did speed the design process up a bit. However, I included quite a few layouts in my parents book of memories that we have made with them. They live just 5 minutes from us so we spend a lot of time together.
Another favorite memory of 2012… Kendall’s birthday at Land Between the Lakes. She LOVES to ride horses.
If you like photo books, I highly recommend MyPublisher. They have been running some really great specials too! They have one going on now, but there is no way I can finish my book before the deadline. I really need to work on designing my pages throughout the year instead of waiting until the end.
Have you made a photo book before? What’s your favorite book publisher?

i started one for my mil, but never finished it
i defnitely need to start taking more pics!
I can’t believe how few pictures I took last year. Makes me sad. I find it harder and harder to take them as the kids get older. They don’t want anything to do with it.
