“This is the best Christmas EVER” were the words we heard come from Noah’s mouth numerous times while opening gifts. The gifts just kept coming and getting better and better. He said he got more than he ever could have wanted. He was so happy by the time he opened the last gift, he actually had tears in his eyes! Seeing his face light up was the best Christmas present!
I guess I should start from the beginning of our Christmas story though. Since Christmas fell on Sunday this year, we had to maneuver our festivities around church. The kids were so patient to wait until after church to open everything. Here are all the pics that Santa left for them…
When we finally did get home, Eric made us a YUMMY breakfast casserole. I kept questioning him when he said it didn’t call for any eggs. After eating it, I can say eggs would have ruined it for me. This was perfect. You could definitely add them if it’s your thing, but I am not a big egg fan.
After church, my parents came over with their gifts. Then it was time for the gift giving festivities to begin. Let me tell you there were gifts. And more gifts. And more gifts. We are such a blessed family.
You see that HUGE Santa bag… it is filled to the brim with even more gifts!
Me and my girlie waiting to start opening gifts!
All of the kids got everything on their wish lists and then some. Great stuff too!
A few of Kendall’s favorite gifts are:
The Kindle Fire was a HUGE hit because the kids didn’t ask for it and had no idea they were going to get one.
This girl LOVES to Dance and she kept reminding me daily that she wanted this for Christmas.
The most wanted gift this year… a REAL cash register. And she got one from my parents. Can you tell she’s happy? She also got some awesome play money to go with it. Oh, and 12 rolls of receipt tape that will probably last about a week!
A few of Noah’s favorites are:
Twizzlers are Noah’s obsession. Seriously. Every time Eric has a trip out of town Noah asks him to bring him back Twizzlers. It’s all he ever wants.
Noah was very jealous when Kendall opened her Fire first so he was soooooo happy when he opened his very own!
He proclaimed that he had all that he wanted or needed and Christmas could be over and it would be one of the best ones ever. Little did he know there were even better things to come…
Oh, and it didn’t stop there. Yet another HUGE surprise…
A white iPhone 4. He was in HEAVEN!
He just kept thanking us for everything over and over. As a matter of fact, he still does at least once a day. So sweet!
A few of Logan’s favorite gifts are:
He had a very short wish list this year, but this Red Afterglow controller for the Xbox 360 was on there.
My parents got him the entire boxed set, all seven seasons, of House. Eric and I have always watched this show, but he never paid much attention. He never understood why we liked it so much. Then a couple months ago, he became totally addicted!
Always a little fun around here too!
Those are just their favorites. We opened gifts for almost three hours. 🙂
The rest of us got a few gifts too…
Eric reading a card that I got him. I actually wrapped it in a big box like a present. Hope he wasn’t too disappointed with what was inside. You see, he ordered a new Rifle and scope for christmas, but they didn’t get here in time. I had to get creative so he would have some things to open.
Noah trying to tell Eric that he had to share his Gummy Bears with him.
Isn’t he way too handsome? The man gives me butterflies every time I look at him.
And then he does something like this… and I wonder what on earth I was thinking… LOL! We were a couple hours into opening gifts and I guess he decided to find his own entertainment.
My Dad got my mom her own little tool kit to do things around the house. If you know my mom, it really is a perfect gift. She is ALWAYS tinkering with something around there. Of course, he might have also mentioned that she never puts his tools back where they belong either. 😉
When we were at my mom’s house a couple months ago, I was peeling potatoes for her. I swear she had the WORST potato peeler on the planet. I told her I was getting her one for Christmas… halfway joking. Well, I did.
I also made my parents a photobook of the stuff that went on in our lives over the past year. It was filled with so many great memories! I will share some of the spreads in another post so you can see them! It makes me really anxious to finish up my personal book and get it printed!
My dad has EVERYTHING he wants because he just goes and buys it. He is like me… he can’t just sit around and wait to get it later. He has to take care of it right away. I had been telling him that I thought he would like playing around with a stylus on his iPad. I LOVE mine.
Kendall bought Zoe this cute little Hedgehog for Christmas. As you can see, she was very excited… NOT! She hasn’t touched it yet.
I already showed you a lot of my gifts in the previous post, but I wanted to share the tag on one of my gifts from Kendall. It made me laugh. To explain how she told on me… we were all out shopping one day and we all separated. Eric asked me if I had my car keys. I said no. I wasn’t sure why he asked but I didn’t really think about it. After we girls had been shopping a while, we were getting bogged down with bags and wanting to unload them. Our car was close so I dug through my purse and happened to find my keys. We took the bags over to put them in the trunk. As I opened it, I saw their were bags in their already. It hit me then that Eric asked about my keys because he didn’t want me getting in the car and finding my gifts. I quickly told the girls we couldn’t put our stuff in there and the reason why. I looked at Kendall and told her not to tell her dad that I had opened the trunk. Well, as soon as we met up with the guys, she spilled the beans. I got mad… Eric got mad at me… I didn’t see what was in any of the bags, but he didn’t believe it. Anyway… that’s what the tag is about. 🙂
Oh, and an update to my post yesterday… The LG Pedestals for my washer and dryer will be delivered later this week! Woohoo! I am so excited!!
