We went out shopping and Kendall found the perfect dress for homecoming. She fell in love with it as soon as she tried it on!
Life has been so busy around here and I really need to sit down and blog a few things that have been on my mind and heart lately. Hopefully I can get to that very soon.
In the meantime, I have been plugging away trying to finish up my 2014 family photo book. It feels so good to be making progress. I will be blogging more about my new process soon. I need to take some pics first. I am LOVING it! In the meantime, here are the pages for our little day trip to Magic Springs.
I am debating on whether to draw little arrows and names to them on the wide angle ride pics where it is hard to see where they are. What do you think??
Oh my gosh… I think my 2014 album is finally done. I have to go through one more time and make sure I haven’t forgotten any important images and do a final check that all my spelling and everything is correct. I am so excited! I can not wait to get this photo book ordered and then in my hands!! This seriously makes me giddy just thinking about it.
I love the little weekly summary cards that start each week, but I also found it stressful at times too. There were some weeks where there wasn’t really much going on. Plus, since I was working on this book a few years later, I didn’t have a good recollection of everything. I relied on my iphone calendar and the Momento app to help me a lot. I think for my next album I will still incorporate some sort of memory card, but it will probably be a 3×4 card. I am also going to try changing from weekly spreads to monthly. Sadly, I am the mom to three teenagers now and quite honestly I don’t get very many pictures these days. We are all going in a hundred different directions and it is just hard. I definitely have weeks where I don’t take any so some months I will probably be lucky to have enough for one spread. However, there will be others with four or more spreads. I am just going to scrap what I love and what I want us to remember. I do still love the simplicity of the white pages and LOVE having white space throughout the page, so the design won’t be changing much there. I am definitely sticking with designing all of my pages on my iPhone and my iPad. It just makes it too easy and fun! I love that I can whip up pages in the school carpool line or while waiting at a doctor’s appointment. I will be sharing a little video soon with more about how I do it.
Anyway… here are the last pages for 2014 (
I think, I HOPE!).
There are quite a few pages for opening Christmas gifts, but I love looking back and seeing what the kids asked for each year.
I will hopefully be sharing the printed book with you soon. So excited!!
